In June 2009, NeurogesX and Astellas Pharma Europe Ltd. entered into an exclusive Distribution, Marketing and License agreement for the commercialization of Qutenza® in the European Economic Area (EEA) including the 27 countries of the European Union, Iceland, Norway, and Liechtenstein as well as Switzerland, certain countries in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Partnership Opportunities
NeurogesX retains all worldwide rights to its products and pipelines product candidates other than as currently licensed to Astellas Pharma Europe. NeurogesX is actively seeking development and commercialization partners for Qutenza in other territories outside the United States including Asia and Latin America. Additionally, we are interested in discussing with potential collaboration partners development and commercialization agreements related to our pre-clinical pipeline programs, including our opioid and acetaminophen prodrug programs.
