C204 Clinical Trial

NeurogesX is currently seeking volunteers for a research study: C204, "A Multicenter Randomized Double Blind, Controlled Study to Evaluate Safety, Tolerability and Preliminary Efficacy of Two Capsaicin Concentration Variations of NGX-1998 (10% or 20% w/w) in Subjects with Postherpetic Neuralgia (PHN)."

If you have pain at least 6 months after the shingles rash has healed, you may be eligible to participate in a research study of an experimental capsaicin topical liquid that is applied once for 5 minutes and then removed.

You can participate if you…

Are between the ages of 18 and 90
Are generally in good health
Continue to suffer from shingles pain at least 6 months after the rash healed
Have painful areas from shingles that are not on the face or the scalp

You will be screened for these and other factors to see if you qualify to participate.
